How can you connect with other Arts Scholars?

As Scholars, we learn better when we learn together, which is why community is at the heart of the Scholars experience.   Beyond the classroom, Arts Scholars join together for collaborative art-making and performance events, participate in service-learning engagements with local schools and arts non-profit organizations, and cultivate valuable leadership and communication skills through peer mentoring and peer teaching opportunities.  Take a look below to learn more about how you can connect with other students in the Arts Scholars program.

Welcome Board

We invite you to introduce yourself to your fellow Arts Scholars on our welcome board.  Share a photograph of you and your arts artifact an artifact from your home that tells us about your relationship to the arts & tell us about yourself.  After you've introduced yourself, look around and get to know your fellow Arts Scholars!

Social Media

Stay up to date on what's happening in Arts Scholars by connecting with us on social media!  Our facebook and flickr accounts include photos and video of past events and activities in Arts Scholars.  In addition, you can connect with us on Instagram to learn about upcoming events, share updates, and learn about fellow Arts Scholars through the Artist of the Month series.  Our Instagram account is run by the AAB - read more about them below!

Arts Advisory Board (AAB)

Arts Advisory Board is the supporting committee to Arts Scholars. It is run by students who are especially interested in helping plan events and fundraise. Its mission is to uphold the Arts Scholars’ tradition of embracing diverse perspectives and using art as a means to communicate, educate, and inspire.  Serving on the AAB is a great opportunity to take a leadership position within the arts community on campus.

One of the many important roles of the AAB is hosting ArtHouse events, which offer Scholars a chance to build community and connection while engaging in a range of artistic and creative activities.  Past Arthouses have included karaoke, gaming, and a Bob Ross paint-along.
