ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
The Arts Scholars program truly is a collective endeavor built through collaboration between students, faculty, staff, and many partnerships with artists and makers throughout the University of Maryland and surrounding community. A huge thanks to everyone who has supported Arts Scholars this year — we couldn’t have done it without you!
A special thanks to faculty members Harold Burgess, Heather Bremenstuhl, and Irene Park; Arts Teaching Assistants Mark Aguilar, Conell Brandner, Julia Feller, Sophia Moore, Nivi Munjal, Jessica Ononye, Chioma Opaigbeogu, Elena Poll, Queen Royalty, and Vanessa Senk; Arts Administrative Assistants Elijah Doster, Melody Freed, and Belle Pham; and the Arts Social Media & Newsletter Assistants Olive Beverly, Madelyn Epstein, Casey Kenreich, Mia Koppel, and Megan Sheeler. Their help and support is what enables Arts Scholars to thrive. ArtsFest digital exhibition design by Heather Bremenstuhl.
We would also like to recognize the many artists within our community that have contributed to our experiential programming in colloquium and during Arts Field Trips. Your knowledge and energy have inspired us, energized us, and helped us connect as a community of artists and scholars.
The Arts Scholars program and Arts Fest 2025 has been made possible through the support of the College of Arts and Humanities, Undergraduate Studies, and College Park Scholars.

COMMUNITY ARTIST PARTNERSHIPS
In Arts Scholars students expand their definitions of art, learn professional practices of creative fields, and explore the role of the arts in our personal and social lives all while building a community based on challenge and support. Central to these learning objectives are our partnerships with artists and makers at UMD and in the surrounding community. A huge thank you to all the organizations and individuals that have supported our colloquia, field trips, and co-curricular activities this year!
